Richard L. Mays is a senior and founding partner of Mays, Byrd & Associates, P.A. (formerly, Mays & Crutcher, P.A.), which he established in 1977. Mr. Mays received his B.A. Degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C. where he was awarded the Phi Beta Kappa award for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement.
Arkie Byrd has been a partner with the law firm of Mays, Byrd & Associates, P.A. since 1984. Ms. Byrd received her B.A. and J.D. Degrees from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Ms. Byrd is also a former fellow of the Institute of Politics at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
Tiffany Mays O’Guinn is an associate with the law firm of Mays, Byrd & Associates, P.A. Mrs. Mays O’Guinn received her B.A. Degree from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia in 2001 (where she was a Dean’s List student). In 2004, she was awarded her J.D. Degree from Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston.
Richard L. Mays, Jr., received his B.B.A. Degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C. in 1991. He obtained his M.B.A. from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri in 1996. In 2001, Mr. Mays was awarded his J.D. from Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston. He began his legal career as a lawyer with his solo practice and has expanded his law practice areas to include personal injury, public finance, criminal law, and real estate law.
