Tiffany Mays O’Guinn is freelance counsel with the law firm of Mays, Byrd & Associates, P.A. Mrs. Mays O’Guinn received her B.A. Degree from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia in 2001 (where she was a Dean’s List student). In 2004, she was awarded her J.D. Degree from Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston. There she received honors for Best Oral Argument – Appellate Litigation.
Mrs. Mays O’Guinn clerked for two consecutive summers at the nationally preeminent law firm of Gary, Williams, Parenti, Finney, Lewis, McManus, Watson & Sperando located in Stuart, Florida. Currently, her practice includes family law, probate, and personal injury.
For two years, Mays O’Guinn served as a Staff Attorney for the Arkansas Board of Review within the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services. Her responsibilities included: researching case law and interpreting state and federal law applicable to unemployment insurance appeals; making recommendations to the Chairman of the Review Board; developing proposed rules, regulations, and legislation; as well as conducting hearings on appeals to the Board of Review for unemployment insurance claims and employer coverage.
She is a member of the National Bar Association, where for two years she has served as a board member for the Young Lawyers Division, and is also a member of the W. Harold Flowers Law Society.
Mrs. Mays O’Guinn is licensed to practice law in both Arkansas and Texas.
